Spik N’ Span Cans

Terms & Conditions

Effective October 18, 2026

Spik N' Span Cans LLC
Version 2026-10-18-service-area-3

These Terms & Conditions govern garbage-can and recycling-can cleaning services purchased from Spik N’ Span Cans (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). “Customer,” “you,” and “your” refer to the person purchasing the services. Your order confirmation identifies the selected service, covered cans, service location, appointments, and charges. This version applies prospectively to new orders and offers accepted on or after its effective date. It does not replace an earlier accepted agreement or change purchased services without the notice or consent required by that agreement and applicable law. A later accepted offer supplements an existing agreement only as disclosed in that offer.

1. Services and service area

We provide one-time and recurring trash-can and recycling-can cleaning throughout the Triad and at additional locations we agree to serve, subject to service availability at your address. A service-area result is preliminary; your confirmed booking identifies the service address and appointment. Cleaning uses pressure-washing equipment, cleaning detergents, and scent treatments. Commercial evaluations are free quote appointments; an evaluation does not itself purchase cleaning or authorize a charge. Commercial cleaning requires a separate agreed scope and price.

2. Plans, included cans, and prices

PlanIncluded visitsBase price
One-time cleaningOne visit$21.99
Once-monthly subscriptionOne visit per monthly service period$19.99 per month
Twice-monthly subscriptionTwo visits per monthly service period$29.99 per month

Each base plan covers up to two cans: one trash can and one recycling can. Each additional trash can costs $14.99, and each additional recycling can costs $9.99. Extra-can charges apply once to a one-time cleaning and once per monthly service period to a subscription, including a twice-monthly subscription. Monthly extra-can charges are not charged separately for each visit.

Your selected extras, any applicable taxes, and the total charge will be disclosed before payment authorization. No payment is collected at booking. Payment for a one-time cleaning is charged on the confirmed first service date described in Section 4, subject to the cancellation and rescheduling provisions below. A one-time cleaning does not enroll you in a subscription.

2A. Subscription discounts and referrals

Base subscription price only. Offers apply to the once-monthly or twice-monthly base price. They do not discount additional trash or recycling cans, separately incurred fees, or separately approved treatments. Selected extras remain payable at their full disclosed prices. Any applicable taxes and total charges are disclosed before authorization. A free base month includes the selected plan’s ordinary one or two cleanings and included cans.

First-time subscription offer. Eligible first-time subscribers receive 30% off the base price on their first subscription bill, once per customer. The first bill is charged on the confirmed first service date. The next bill, on the first day of the following calendar month, uses the regular disclosed base price. This is one discounted billing period, not a rolling 30-day discount. The initial charge is not prorated for days remaining in the month. Returning customers and repeated enrollments do not create another first-time entitlement.

Submitting a referral. The referring customer must already have an eligible active subscription. Verify your subscription email and provide the new person’s name and email with their permission to share those details for referral administration. The optional note and referral details are sent to spiknspancans@gmail.com. Sharing contact details does not enroll that person, authorize payment, or authorize unrelated marketing; they must complete their own verified enrollment and card authorization.

Referral eligibility. The referred person must be a brand-new subscribing customer. The first verified eligible referral submitted before that person’s signup receives credit. Self-referrals, returning-customer reuse, and competing claims for the same signup do not qualify. An entered code or saved card alone does not establish eligibility. We verify the relevant enrollment, customer, subscription, and payment records; unclear or conflicting records require review rather than an automatic reward.

Referred subscriber’s discount. An eligible referred subscriber receives 50% off the base subscription price on the first two subscription bills: the confirmed first service-day bill and the next first-of-month renewal. These are two billing periods, not a rolling 60-day discount. Their charge dates may be only days apart when the first visit is near month end. Regular base pricing begins with bill three. Extras remain full price. The offer and order summary identify the charge dates, discounted amounts, and regular renewal amount.

Earning the free base month. The referring subscriber earns one free base month after the referred customer’s first successful qualifying subscription payment. Booking, card collection, or an unpaid invoice is insufficient. Each qualifying referral earns at most one reward. We record the qualifying payment and confirm the benefit; a processing delay does not itself erase an earned reward.

Applying and queuing rewards. The earned free base month applies to the referrer’s next eligible unpaid monthly renewal that has not yet been invoiced. An already created or paid bill is not automatically repriced. Multiple rewards queue for separate eligible months, one per month. If the referrer is receiving their own two-bill referral welcome discount, those two promotional bills must finish and successfully settle before queued free months begin. A free base month replaces a continuing individually authorized discount for that bill; that continuing offer then resumes under its original conditions. Selected extras remain payable in full.

Individually authorized offers. We may issue a private offer tied to the invited customer’s verified email. Its amount, duration, and conditions are disclosed directly to that customer. Sharing a code does not transfer the invitation. Cancellation does not revive an accepted invitation; a new invitation is required for a new authorization. An approved offer for an existing subscription starts on the identified future renewal not yet invoiced, without retroactive credits or changes to earlier bills. Its disclosure and acceptance remain recorded. Private offers follow the base-only and no-stacking rules.

No stacking. Only one discount applies to a base subscription charge. First-time offers, referral welcome discounts, earned free base months, and individually authorized offers cannot be added together on the same bill. Entering several codes does not combine them. The accepted offer and reward queue determine which benefit applies. A different private offer will not silently replace an uncompleted referral welcome entitlement.

Eligibility and misuse protection. We verify eligibility against customer and enrollment records. A different email, another code, cancellation, or another checkout does not create another once-only entitlement. Unresolved identity or eligibility questions require review. Restrictions apply prospectively and do not retroactively increase an accepted charge, impose an unlisted penalty, authorize an undisclosed charge, or limit cancellation rights.

Services, cancellation, and refunds. Offers do not impose a minimum subscription term or cancellation penalty. Sections 5 and 6 govern cancellation, remaining visits, and refund requests. A properly applied free base month is a covered service period, not a failed payment merely because its base charge is zero; selected extras must still be paid. Approved discretionary cash refunds use the amount actually paid after the offer, with extras reviewed separately. A zero-dollar base charge does not generate a discretionary cash refund for that base charge. Mandatory legal remedies remain unaffected.

Cases requiring review. If a qualifying payment is later refunded, reversed, or disputed, or a plan change or cancellation affects an unused earned reward, we preserve the reward record and review the circumstances. These Terms do not impose automatic forfeiture, a clawback charge, a new fee, or automatic restoration of a used benefit. We will explain any proposed adjustment and obtain agreement or authorization where required. An unresolved reward issue does not prevent cancellation or withhold service already purchased.

Continuing billing and disclosures. Booking saves a card without charging it. The first charge is on the confirmed first service date and renewals occur on the first of each month until cancellation takes effect. Checkout and confirmation disclose the accepted promotion and later amounts. Material changes require the notice and consent described in Section 9. Accepting an offer does not waive rights protected by applicable law.

3. Appointments, access, utilities, and service conditions

Appointments are offered Monday through Saturday, with one-hour appointments starting hourly from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time, including daylight saving time when applicable. The last scheduled appointment ends at 6:00 p.m. Your confirmation identifies your appointments. Recurring cleanings follow the confirmed monthly weekday pattern and time; twice-monthly subscriptions require two appointments.

We will meet you at the first on-site visit. Subsequent cleanings, including recurring service, may be completed without you being present when the designated cans and any approved utility connections are accessible. You are responsible for providing accurate service information and making the cans available at the agreed location. Contact us if access instructions or your service needs change.

Customer-provided water and electrical power. Depending on the equipment used and conditions at the service location, the Company may use its own supplies or request access to customer-provided water, electrical power, or both. We will identify the connections needed and obtain your permission before first using them. You must own the supplies or have the property owner's or other authorized party's permission to allow their use. Permission is limited to reasonable use of the identified connections for your confirmed cleaning services. Customer utilities are not necessarily needed at every visit.

Unless you limit your permission to a particular visit, permission for the identified connections continues for later scheduled visits at the same service location until you withdraw it. We do not need a new approval for each such visit. A different connection or a use outside that permission requires additional approval. You may withdraw or limit permission by emailing the contact address in Section 11 or by notifying the crew before use. We will honor notice received before the connection is used and stop an ongoing use as soon as it can safely be disconnected. Withdrawal does not itself cancel a subscription; Section 5 explains cancellation.

You are responsible for the ordinary water and electricity charges imposed by your utility providers for authorized use. The Company does not add a separate fee for using those utilities. Please disclose known restrictions, defects, or hazards affecting an approved supply. We will use only accessible connections reasonably determined to be safe and suitable for our equipment, will not enter locked or restricted areas without separate permission, and will not use a supply that appears unsafe. You need not be present at a contact-free visit when access and utility use have already been authorized. If a required supply is unavailable, unsuitable, unsafe, or no longer authorized, we will contact you to discuss alternatives or rescheduling. This utility provision does not authorize an additional service fee or waive rights protected by applicable law.

Weather and other unsafe conditions. We perform service in ordinary rain as well as dry weather. We may delay or interrupt a visit when lightning, flooding, dangerous winds, or other conditions make performance unsafe in our reasonable judgment. We will notify you and arrange a replacement time without a weather-related cancellation or rescheduling fee. A paid cleaning delayed for safety remains owed and will not be counted as completed merely because the scheduled time passed. Any can cleaning already completed remains recorded as completed; the unperformed portion will be rescheduled without a second cleaning charge. Billing and visits carried into a later month are addressed in Section 4. No non-empty-can fee is assessed merely because a visit is canceled for unsafe conditions.

Empty and accessible cans. All designated service cans must be empty and accessible at the scheduled visit. We will not clean a can that is not empty. A $9.99 fee applies to each designated service can found non-empty during an attended scheduled visit. The fee is separate from the selected plan and extra-can prices. It applies only to cans included in your confirmed service, not unrelated cans at the property. It is assessed after the condition is observed and documented, not in advance. An inaccessible can is not presumed to be non-empty, and these Terms do not create a fee solely because an empty can is inaccessible. We will contact you about access problems and the available scheduling options.

When some cans are cleaned. We will clean the designated cans that are empty, accessible, and safe to service. If at least one designated can is cleaned but another cannot be cleaned because it is non-empty, the visit is a partially completed visit. The regular visit charge remains payable, and each non-empty designated can incurs the $9.99 fee. There is no included replacement visit for the cans skipped because they were non-empty. An additional visit outside your remaining confirmed appointments requires a separately disclosed price and your agreement; it will not be booked or charged automatically. A partially completed visit does not cancel another visit included in your paid twice-monthly plan. Any refund request, including an extra-can refund, remains subject to Section 6 and applicable law.

When all cans are non-empty. If all designated cans are non-empty and no cleaning can take place, the regular cleaning charge remains payable in addition to $9.99 for each non-empty can. We will arrange a replacement visit covered by that regular cleaning charge. You must make the cans empty and accessible for the replacement appointment. Two non-empty cans, for example, result in $19.98 in fees in addition to the retained cleaning charge. There is no second base-plan or extra-can cleaning charge for carrying out the covered replacement.

The same empty-can requirements and per-can fee apply at an attended replacement visit. If all cans are again non-empty, contact with the Company and review of the circumstances are required before another replacement is confirmed; another appointment is not scheduled automatically. The retained cleaning payment remains applied to the unperformed covered cleaning, subject to an approved refund or other agreed resolution. This review does not itself impose another cleaning charge or forfeit a paid cleaning. If some cans are cleaned at a replacement visit and others are non-empty, the partially completed visit rule above applies to that visit. The original retained payment covers the ordinary cleaning at that replacement. Additional charges are limited to newly incurred non-empty-can fees and any additional treatment separately quoted and approved under the provisions below. Each assessment must identify its own visit and affected cans; the same can is not assessed twice for the same occurrence.

Can condition, damage records, and responsibility. At each attended appointment, including a covered replacement visit, we will visually inspect the accessible portions of the designated cans and photograph noticeable damage before any cleaning begins. This includes scratches, cracks, holes, dents, damaged lids or hinges, and loose, damaged, or missing wheels. The condition notes and photographs will be linked to the relevant can, service date, and customer service record. You should tell us about known damage, prior repairs, fragile parts, and restrictions on handling a can before service. This visual inspection is not a structural examination, a repair service, or a guarantee that concealed defects will be discovered. We will not perform unsafe handling merely to obtain a photograph or inspect an inaccessible area.

We will exercise reasonable care in handling and cleaning your cans. Cleaning does not repair existing damage or guarantee restoration of a can's original appearance or structural condition. To the extent a loss is not caused or worsened by the Company's negligence or other wrongful conduct, Spik N' Span Cans LLC is not responsible for pre-existing damage, manufacturing defects, concealed weaknesses, age-related deterioration, or ordinary wear attributable to use, storage, or collection of the can. This allocation also applies when reasonable cleaning reveals damage or weakness that was already present. Discovery after cleaning does not, by itself, establish that a condition was pre-existing or that the Company caused it. This provision does not release the Company from responsibility for damage it causes or worsens through negligence, gross negligence, reckless or intentional misconduct, or any liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

If we observe a condition that makes a can unsafe to handle or likely to suffer further damage despite reasonable care, we may pause cleaning that can and contact you about a safe alternative, rescheduling, or another agreed resolution. We will not charge an undisclosed damage-inspection fee, treat an unperformed cleaning as completed solely because it was paused for this reason, or automatically forfeit a paid cleaning. The separate rules for non-empty cans remain in effect when that independently documented condition exists.

Please report a suspected cleaning-related damage issue using the contact information in Section 11, identifying the visit, affected can, and what you observed. When reasonably practicable, retain relevant photographs and allow a reasonable opportunity to review the condition before nonessential repairs or disposal. This request does not require you to preserve an unsafe condition, delay necessary safety measures, meet an unlisted claim deadline, or waive a claim because the Company did not photograph a particular defect. We will consider the service records and the information you provide. Our records are evidence of observations, not a conclusive determination of fault or a waiver of your rights.

Service photographs and privacy. By requesting service and accepting these Terms, you authorize photographs of the designated cans and the limited surrounding area reasonably necessary to document their condition, completed work, or a proposed additional treatment. We will limit photographs to service-related details and avoid capturing people, personal documents, and unrelated property when reasonably practicable. Records will be kept with the private customer service record for service administration, billing review, and resolution of concerns, for no longer than reasonably necessary for those purposes or applicable legal obligations. Access and disclosure will be limited to persons who need the records for those purposes, including appropriate service providers, insurers, professional advisers, or disclosures required by law. This permission does not authorize publication, advertising, or social-media use; those uses require separate permission. You may request the records relevant to your service or charge, subject to reasonable identity verification and protection of another person's information.

Unusual contamination and additional treatment. The regular cleaning price includes ordinary residue and odor associated with normal trash-can or recycling-can use. A strong odor or visible residue alone does not automatically create an additional charge. An otherwise empty can may require work beyond ordinary cleaning when, for example, extreme persistent odor, substantial fecal residue, or a substantial maggot infestation requires additional labor, materials, or specialized treatment. We will assess the actual condition and explain the work proposed rather than applying an undisclosed surcharge merely because one of those conditions is mentioned.

At the affected appointment, we will document visible contamination with reasonably obtainable photographs and record relevant observations, the affected cans, and the additional work proposed in the customer service record. Odor observations will be recorded in notes; a photograph does not establish an odor's presence or severity. Before any additional treatment begins, we will provide a written quote identifying the affected cans, the condition observed, the additional work, the total additional amount including applicable tax, with the tax separately stated, and whether the price applies per can or to the visit. There is no preset surcharge under these Terms. The additional work and its price require your affirmative approval by written or electronic confirmation; silence, absence, a saved card, or approval of these Terms alone is not approval of the quote. If the proposed scope or price increases, we must obtain a new approval before performing that increased work. The accepted quote, approval, service record, and any resulting charge will be kept together. We will charge only for the approved additional treatment actually performed, at no more than its approved price. Charging the card stored through Stripe requires your separate authorization identifying that additional amount; otherwise, another payment method must be agreed. Any additional-treatment charge will be itemized separately from regular service and non-empty-can fees.

Additional treatment may be performed only when the cans are empty and the work can be done safely within the Company's equipment, training, and lawful service capabilities. This provision does not offer collection of retained trash or hazardous waste, authorize cleaning a non-empty can for an extra payment, or guarantee complete elimination of an odor or infestation. Loose refuse or retained waste remains subject to the non-empty-can rules above. The non-empty-can fee is not duplicated or renamed as an additional-treatment fee for the same condition and work. Any distinct charges must identify their separate basis and be properly authorized.

If you decline the additional work or we cannot obtain your approval, we will not perform or charge for it. We may complete ordinary cleaning on other covered cans when safe. If safe performance of an affected can's ordinary cleaning cannot proceed, we will contact you to agree on an alternative or rescheduling and explain any effect on the appointment. Declining a proposed additional treatment does not itself create a cancellation penalty, count an unperformed cleaning as completed, or automatically forfeit a paid cleaning. Any required refund or other legal remedy remains available. The existing non-empty-can and partial-visit rules apply when their separate factual conditions are met.

An additional-treatment charge applies only to the expressly approved work for the identified visit and cans. It is not automatically added to later visits or monthly renewal amounts. A later occurrence requires its own disclosure and approval. An unpaid additional-treatment charge does not, by itself, stop ordinary cleanings already covered by a paid subscription month or start or extend the monthly 30-day nonpayment period in Section 7. Valid, separately authorized amounts actually owed remain subject to payments, credits, refunds, disputes, and applicable law.

4. Required payment card, fee authorization, and subscription billing

A valid payment card is required at checkout for every plan, including one-time cleaning. You enter the card details directly through Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe processes and stores the card details for the authorized uses described here. Our website stores payment references rather than your full card number or card security code. Providing the card secures the appointment once booking is confirmed; it does not create a charge at checkout. For every plan, the first cleaning charge is taken on the confirmed first service date defined below. A one-time order authorizes its disclosed service total and separately authorized non-empty-can fees, not recurring subscription payments. Any additional treatment under Section 3 requires its own disclosed price and affirmative payment authorization; merely saving a card or accepting these Terms does not authorize that additional charge.

By separately authorizing saved-card fees at checkout, you authorize Spik N' Span Cans LLC to charge the card saved through Stripe $9.99 multiplied by the number of designated service cans found non-empty during an attended scheduled visit, including a covered replacement visit. These charges are unscheduled and may occur after that visit when the condition is documented. They are separate from your regular cleaning and extra-can charges. We will provide an itemized notice stating the visit, affected cans, and total fee, together with any advance notice required by applicable law. We will provide a copy of the payment authorization you accept. Where applicable law requires advance notice or additional consent before a debit, we will obtain it before initiating that debit. This authorization covers the stated non-empty-can fee and does not authorize unrelated charges.

You must maintain a valid authorized payment method while receiving service. If a later payment requires bank authentication, you must complete that step before the payment is treated as successful. You may contact spiknspancans@gmail.com to replace your payment method or withdraw authorization for future non-empty-can charges. Withdrawal does not erase valid charges already incurred; the Company will not initiate further card charges under an authorization after its withdrawal takes effect. Future charges require a valid authorization or another agreed payment arrangement. This requirement does not permit withholding an already-paid cleaning solely because a separate non-empty-can fee is unpaid. Canceling subscription renewals is addressed in Section 5.

Confirmed first service date. For a one-time order or a new subscription, the confirmed first service date is the date of the first on-site visit identified in your confirmation, as changed by a rescheduling agreement confirmed by the Company. A request alone does not change the appointment or charge date. If that visit is rescheduled before it begins, its first cleaning charge follows the confirmed rescheduled date. If the first cleaning payment has already been collected, it remains a credit toward that rescheduled visit; we will not collect it again. The free initial-cancellation rule in Section 5 remains available. The regular charge also remains payable for an attended visit at which all cans are non-empty, with the covered replacement described in Section 3.

Both monthly subscription plans renew automatically until canceled. Your first subscription payment is charged on the confirmed first service date. Subsequent subscription payments are charged on the first day of each month using your authorized payment method.

No subscription payment is collected when you initially book; you provide a payment method and authorize the disclosed future charges. Your first payment is the monthly base subscription price, reduced by an applicable offer disclosed under Section 2A, plus selected monthly extra-can charges and applicable taxes. Your order summary identifies discounted charges and the regular renewal amount after the offer ends. It covers the one or two included cleanings assigned to the calendar month of the confirmed first service date. The initial monthly charge is not prorated based on the number of days remaining in that month. For a twice-monthly subscription, both initial visits must be scheduled within that same calendar month. If two visits cannot be scheduled in that month, choose an earlier first visit or start in a later month before completing enrollment.

Beginning on the first day of the next calendar month, each renewal payment covers that calendar month's one or two included cleanings and selected extra cans. Depending on the confirmed first service date, the first renewal can occur less than a full month after the initial payment.

Before you enroll, your checkout summary identifies the initial and recurring totals, first cleaning date, both initial appointments for a twice-monthly plan, first renewal date, and cancellation instructions. Review both charge dates and the amounts before authorizing enrollment.

Rescheduling and month boundaries. If the first visit is moved to a different calendar month before that visit begins, we will provide a revised confirmation showing the first service date, the initial service month, the included appointments, and the first renewal date. For twice-monthly enrollment, both initial appointments must be arranged in that revised initial month. The first renewal follows on the first day of the next calendar month. We will update the collection schedule to match and will not treat the original dates as an additional purchase. Changes to the amount or payment authorization require any further consent applicable law requires.

After the initial service period has begun, a covered replacement or safety-related makeup carried into another month remains owed under the original payment. It does not use up a visit purchased for the new month or create a second charge for the same cleaning. The normal first-of-month renewal continues unless canceled under Section 5 or stopped under Section 7. The makeup and the new month's regular visits will be identified separately in the revised appointment confirmation. Canceling future renewals does not forfeit a paid replacement. This provision does not grant a free makeup for a non-empty can skipped during a partially completed visit under Section 3.

By affirmatively enrolling in a subscription and authorizing recurring billing, you authorize the disclosed initial payment and subsequent first-of-month payments until cancellation takes effect. Your authorization does not permit undisclosed charges or changes requiring additional consent under applicable law. You are responsible for monitoring your subscription, renewal dates, payment method, and available funds.

Responsibility for unpaid service and subscription charges. You remain responsible for all valid unpaid amounts properly incurred under your confirmed order and these Terms, including authorized recurring subscription charges, charges for services already provided, selected extra-can charges, and applicable non-empty-can fees. An extra-can charge already included in a subscription balance will not be collected a second time. A declined payment, insufficient funds, withdrawal of payment authorization, suspension of service, or cancellation of future renewals does not by itself release you from amounts lawfully owed before that action takes effect. Any balance remains subject to valid payments, credits, approved refunds, disputes, and applicable law. This provision does not create additional charges, extend renewals after cancellation takes effect, or change your entitlement to services already paid for. Failed-payment handling, collection attempts, and service suspension are governed by Section 7.

5. Cancellation, remaining service, and recurring-plan eligibility

How to cancel. Use the cancellation page at spiknspancans.com/cancel, the Manage service link provided with your confirmation, or email spiknspancans@gmail.com with your name and the service address or booking reference, identifying the appointment or subscription you wish to cancel. You may cancel future renewals without providing a reason and without qualifying for a refund. A cancellation takes effect according to when it is submitted through the management link or received at our email address, not when we later send an acknowledgment. We will confirm the affected booking, the effective date, and any remaining paid visits. An email clearly identifying the booking is sufficient; an acknowledgment is not a condition of timely cancellation. Online cancellation verifies the subscription email and asks you to select the correct subscription. Providing a reason or accepting an invitation to contact us is optional and does not restrict cancellation. If online verification is unavailable, use the email method above.

Canceling before the first service. A one-time booking or a new subscription may be canceled without a cleaning charge if we receive the cancellation before its first on-site service visit begins. For this cancellation rule, the first service begins when the crew begins the scheduled on-site visit, including its initial inspection, rather than only when washing starts. Making a booking, charging the card, or traveling to the address does not itself begin the on-site visit. A cancellation received before that visit begins cancels the appointment; we will not perform that canceled visit or assess a cleaning or non-empty-can fee for it. We will not move the cancellation cutoff earlier by arriving before the confirmed appointment time unless you agreed to an earlier start.

If that first cleaning charge is pending, we will cancel it where possible. If it has already been collected, we will refund that initial service payment, including its selected extra-can charges and any associated refundable tax. A declined initial payment will not be collected for a booking timely canceled under this paragraph. This cancellation also stops the new subscription and its future renewals. These adjustments do not require a separate discretionary-refund request. Processing by your card issuer may affect when a refund appears on your account. Canceling a new booking does not erase valid charges from a different, earlier visit or order.

Canceling after the first service begins. Cancellation does not erase valid charges already incurred for that visit, including a documented non-empty-can fee, or any replacement entitlement described in Section 3. Refund requests and service adjustments are governed by Sections 6 and 8. There is no separate cancellation penalty under these Terms.

Stopping later subscription renewals. A cancellation received before the next renewal charge stops that renewal. If a renewal is processed after we received a timely cancellation, we will correct it by canceling the charge or refunding the payment collected for that canceled renewal. If you cancel after the current month's authorized subscription payment has been charged, cancellation stops future renewals and preserves the one or two cleanings included in that paid service month. The free initial-cancellation rule above applies to the first service of a new subscription, not to every later monthly period. Cancellation alone does not automatically refund a properly charged renewal or remove a remaining paid cleaning.

If an approved refund or other agreed resolution changes the remaining service, that adjustment will be identified in writing. A refund request and a request to stop future renewals may be submitted together; refund approval is not required to stop future renewals.

Repeated enrollment to obtain one-time service at the once-monthly price. The once-monthly plan is offered for recurring monthly service. Customers may cancel without a minimum subscription term or cancellation penalty. Customers must not repeatedly enroll, receive a cleaning at the once-monthly rate, cancel before renewal, and re-enroll for successive isolated cleanings in order to obtain the recurring rate for one-time service. When a documented, repeated pattern reasonably demonstrates that use, we may decline a future once-monthly enrollment and instead offer a one-time cleaning at the price disclosed for that new booking. The current one-time base price is $21.99; selected extras remain separately disclosed. An isolated cancellation or a good-faith return to recurring service is not, by itself, sufficient to establish misuse. We will consider the circumstances and any explanation you provide.

Any restriction on new enrollment applies prospectively and will be explained before a new booking is confirmed. It does not increase the price of an earlier visit, change an already confirmed order, impose a cancellation charge, require payment of a subscription-to-one-time price difference, or authorize another card charge. A future one-time booking requires your agreement to its disclosed price. This rule does not limit cancellation rights, remove a paid cleaning, or override any right protected by applicable law.

6. Refund requests and customer responsibility

Except for the cancellation and billing-correction refunds expressly provided in Section 5, or where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law, refunds are not automatic. For a discretionary refund outside those exceptions, a customer must submit a request identifying a specific reason. Each discretionary request is reviewed individually and is subject to approval by Spik N’ Span Cans. Submitting a discretionary request does not guarantee approval.

Customers are responsible for keeping track of their subscriptions, scheduled renewals, and available payment funds. Forgetting about a subscription, forgetting to cancel, failing to monitor renewal dates, or failing to budget for an authorized subscription charge does not, by itself, establish eligibility for a discretionary refund. The Company does not assume responsibility for a customer's personal budgeting or subscription-management decisions. This provision does not excuse billing errors or restrict rights that applicable law protects.

If the Company approves a refund request after the first cleaning under a twice-monthly subscription has been completed and before the second cleaning has been performed, the discretionary refund for the base subscription equals one-half of the base subscription amount actually paid for that service period after any applicable discount, rounded to the nearest cent and accounting for any prior refund. For an undiscounted $29.99 base subscription payment, that base-plan refund is $15.00. Extra-can charges are reviewed separately under the following paragraph. This calculation does not limit a refund or other remedy required by applicable law.

Extra-can charges will be reviewed separately as part of the total monthly charge. An additional can that has already been cleaned during the paid service month is not eligible for a discretionary refund of its monthly extra-can fee. An additional can that has not been cleaned at all during that paid service month will receive a full refund of its monthly extra-can fee if the refund request is approved. At the current rates, the full eligible extra-can refund is $14.99 per additional trash can or $9.99 per additional recycling can. Eligibility is assessed for each extra can separately. Any refund will account for amounts actually paid and any prior refund for the same charge.

If a refund is approved for the unused second monthly cleaning, that second appointment will be canceled. The written approval will identify the refund amount, the treatment of each extra-can charge, and the canceled appointment. The eligible amount does not create an automatic entitlement to a discretionary refund; the specific-reason and approval requirements above still apply.

For other discretionary requests, the Company will consider the stated reason, relevant circumstances, and any services already performed. Subject to the initial-cancellation and billing-correction rights in Section 5 and remedies required by law, the absence of a completed cleaning does not by itself create an automatic full refund, and cancellation does not by itself create an automatic partial refund.

To request review, email spiknspancans@gmail.com with your name, service address or booking reference, the charge or service period concerned, and the specific reason for your request. Do not send payment-card numbers by email. If you also wish to stop future renewals, include that instruction in the same message.

7. Failed payments, suspension, and outstanding balances

An unpaid non-empty-can fee does not, by itself, stop cleanings included in a month whose subscription charge has been paid. If the initial monthly subscription payment or a later monthly renewal payment is declined or remains unpaid, cleaning service for that unpaid period is suspended until the required payment is resolved or the Company expressly approves a payment arrangement. We will notify you of the failed payment and provide instructions to update your payment method, complete any required authentication, or pay the amount due. A bank's request for additional authentication is not a successful payment.

Any valid unpaid subscription charge for the affected month and any valid unpaid non-empty-can fees will be itemized together as the outstanding balance. The fee remains $9.99 for each affected designated service can, not $9.99 for the entire account. A declined payment does not itself create a non-empty-can fee or another penalty. Payment failure does not itself erase an otherwise valid obligation. You remain responsible for valid amounts owed, which the Company may seek to recover through lawful means. This provision does not create a charge that was not properly incurred or permit collection of an amount already paid, refunded, or credited.

Each 30-day nonpayment period begins with the first failed monthly payment while no earlier monthly charges remain overdue. This includes a failed initial subscription payment as well as a failed renewal. Service for the unpaid period stops, and we will continue reasonable attempts to collect the existing valid unpaid balance during the following 30 days. If another monthly charge is already overdue, its existing collection period continues; a later failure does not start a second or longer period for that unresolved balance. We will identify the first-failure date and the resulting 30-day deadline in the payment notice.

While overdue monthly charges remain unresolved, retries, later invoices, replies, card updates, and partial payments do not restart or extend that 30-day period. A reply alone is not a payment arrangement. When all overdue monthly charges have been fully resolved through payment, valid credits, approved refunds, or another lawful adjustment, that nonpayment period ends. A later failed monthly payment begins a new 30-day period. A remaining non-empty-can fee does not keep a resolved monthly nonpayment period open or, by itself, start a monthly nonpayment period.

If overdue monthly charges remain unresolved at the end of the applicable 30 days, future subscription renewals will stop unless the Company has expressly approved a payment arrangement. An approved arrangement must identify the balance, payment deadline, and agreed service conditions. Approved exceptions are managed by the Company; a customer's request or proposed date is not an approved extension. The Company will confirm any approval or later change in writing. Nothing in these Terms authorizes a new cleaning charge merely because an earlier charge remains unpaid. The monthly 30-day rule does not itself impose a 30-day collection schedule on a failed one-time cleaning payment or an unpaid non-empty-can fee.

Stopping renewals does not erase valid outstanding charges, issue an automatic refund, or restart canceled service. You may cancel future renewals sooner using the cancellation methods in Section 5. We will identify Spik N' Span Cans LLC and accurately itemize the amount sought in communications requesting payment. The existence or amount of a debt remains subject to applicable law and any valid payment, refund, credit, or dispute.

Before new unpaid or future service is approved, valid outstanding balances and any payment due for that service must be resolved, unless the Company expressly approves a payment arrangement. This requirement does not withhold cleanings in a month already paid for solely because a separate can fee remains unpaid. Paying an overdue can fee does not itself purchase a cleaning. Payments for covered replacements and other services that remain owed under these Terms stay applied to those services without a second charge for the same cleaning. This does not create a free replacement for a non-empty can skipped during a partially completed visit under Section 3. We will confirm the restart and any rescheduled appointments; payment alone does not automatically reactivate a canceled subscription. For a paid month, cancellation of future renewals does not remove the remaining paid visits unless an approved refund or other agreed resolution changes that service.

You may dispute an incorrect charge and retain all rights and defenses provided by applicable law. These Terms do not impose an additional late fee, interest charge, or collection fee. Suspending service or seeking payment does not restrict cancellation of future renewals or waive a refund or other remedy required by law.

8. Billing errors, service concerns, and protected rights

Please contact us if you believe a charge is incorrect or have a concern about a cleaning. A refund-request review does not prevent you from canceling future renewals, reporting an unauthorized charge, exercising a payment-dispute right, or pursuing a remedy available under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a refund, cancellation right, or other consumer protection that cannot lawfully be waived. The discretionary-refund restrictions do not override remedies required for unauthorized billing, failure to provide contracted services, or other circumstances where applicable law requires a remedy.

9. Changes to plans or terms

Material changes to subscription prices, renewal terms, or these Terms will be communicated before they take effect, with any notice and consent required by applicable law. Changes will not retroactively alter completed transactions or reduce services already purchased. You may cancel future renewals before a disclosed change takes effect.

10. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by applicable North Carolina and federal law, without excluding any mandatory consumer protections that apply to a particular customer or transaction. If a provision cannot lawfully be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
